Dr. Richards is the newest provider to join the Northwest Medical Associates clinic. She was raised in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada and received her undergraduate degree at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, where she graduated with her BSc in Biology, first class honors. She attended medical school at the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario and completed her Family Medicine residency through Memorial University of Newfoundland.

After residency, she joined her Coast Guard pilot husband in Kodiak, Alaska for 2 years before moving to Vancouver, WA in 2000. She has worked in both Family Medicine and Urgent Care settings.  She provides primary care for patients ranging in age from teenagers up to seniors but admits to having a soft spot for the older patients.

Dr. Richards is an avid gardener and enjoys hiking, long walks and taking care of her three dogs and cats.
