I am a practicing Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with nearly twenty-four years of experience in primary care. I began my nursing career after graduating from Westminster University of Salt Lake City in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and subsequently passed the nursing boards. After that, I worked as a registered nurse in Utah for a few months before relocating to Alaska. Upon arriving in Alaska, I took a position with the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel. I served as a medical-surgical nurse in their hospital while also covering shifts in the emergency room. Additionally, I took medevac flights to local villages while working on a critical care air ambulance, transporting patients to Seattle for a higher level of care.

Shortly after working in the Alaskan Bush, I decided to further my nursing education and enrolled in Gonzaga University’s graduate program for Nursing in 1998. In the summer of 2001, I took my board certification exam through the American Nursing Credentialing Center, passed it, and obtained credentialing as a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Hoping to advance my career in Alaska, I applied for licensure there as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and received my license in 2001. In my early years in Alaska, I worked with various medical doctors and organizations that I enjoyed while searching for a long-term position. During this time, I gained experience in urgent care, a bariatric surgery center, a pulmonary center, and a private practice. Drawn to private practice, I purchased a practice in March 2003 and began working as a solo practitioner. I continued my role as a Nurse Practitioner at the Medical Office of William E. Erickson, ANP, PC, focusing on family practice and urgent care for the following 17 years, which aligned with my nearly twenty years of experience in primary care.

I relocated from Alaska in 2020 to be closer to my family and start a new career chapter. Afterwards, I accepted a position with Advanced Recovery Systems at their Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility for Drugs and Alcohol. This role has offered a significant opportunity for growth as I assist some of the most vulnerable individuals in our community.

I am actively involved in community service as the Cowlitz Indian Tribe’s General Council Secretary. I have held this role for about three and a half years and am currently in my second elected term. Additionally, I serve on the Board of the Clark County Law and Justice Council, which provides a wonderful opportunity to give back.

Some of my hobbies are camping and hiking throughout the Pacific Northwest, International travel, and working on staying in shape at Planet Fitness. I would be pleased to meet you and discuss how we can work toward your optimal health.
